We’re excited to announce that we’re now open for applications for our Autumn 2026 programme.

If you’re working on a tech venture that could genuinely lead to better outcomes for people and planet, and are looking for investment to help you take your business further, then we’d love to hear from you.

What’s on offer

Our six-week hybrid programme is designed to help founders bring impact to the core of their business model and navigate the next steps in your path to grow. You’ll receive:

  • £60,000 investment in exchange for 7% equity
  • Six weeks of intensive learning tailored to your needs, with expert-led workshops, clinics, and peer learning
  • Tailored coaching and mentoring from the BGV team
  • Access to a community of purpose-driven founders, investors, and mentors who've been building in this space for years
  • Follow-on investment of up to £1 million for the most promising portfolio companies.

Who Should Apply and How?

We look for early-stage ventures that use technology to contribute to:

  • A Sustainable Planet: tackling climate, food systems, energy, or pressing environmental challenges
  • Healthy Lives: improving physical and mental health outcomes
  • An Inclusive Society: reducing inequality and expanding access for people from all walks of life.

The application process is online and straightforward, but competitive. Here's how to make yours stand out:

1. Be crystal clear on your problem

We want to understand the social or environmental problem you're solving. Lead with the problem's scale, urgency, and why it isn't being solved well today.

2. Show intentionality about impact

BGV isn't looking for ventures where impact is a nice-to-have. Articulate how your business model and your social mission reinforce each other. The more your commercial success depends on your impact, the stronger your application will be.

3. Demonstrate the technology angle

BGV invests in tech ventures, not just any socially motivated startup. Be specific about how technology is central to your solution and how it clearly addresses the problem you’re trying to solve.

4. Think big, but honestly

We want to back founders with genuine ambition for scale. That means that we’re looking out for ventures that could improve the lives of millions. Though you might be at the very beginning of your startup journey, we want to understand the bigger vision behind your business. Be honest about where you are, what you've validated, and what you still need to learn.

5. Attend a Q&A event before you apply

We will run an online Q&A session on 4th June 2026, where you can ask us all your burning questions directly. This isn't just useful for your application, it's also one of the ways to do your due diligence on us to find out if we’re the right investor for you. Sign up to the event here.

If that's you, don't wait. Get in touch, start your application, and join the tech for good movement.
