Meet our Autumn 2025 cohort
It’s that time of year when we’re excited to announce the next batch of startups joining the BGV portfolio as part of the Autumn 2025 Tech for Good programme.
We’re pleased to unveil the 14 startups that have been selected from a pool of over 400 applications. What truly excited us about the ventures joining the Autumn 2025 programme, are not only the novel, innovative applications of technologies, but the myriad of ways these companies are tackling pressing social and environmental problems – ranging from providing a voice to people in democratic decision-making, to increasing resilience in food systems, to helping people with disabilities navigate their environment more effectively and more.
We’re excited to be partnering with Vestd and Techspace on this programme, giving founders access to expert support on building impactful companies and a great home to grow their ventures.
Without further ado, meet our Autumn 2025 cohort.
Amytis
Sustainable Planet | Dr Eva Steele, Dr Freddie Starkey
Life science research holds the key to solving our most pressing global health and climate challenges; yet, research is hampered by outdated, fragmented tools that lead to data loss and slow progress. Amytis is building a cutting-edge digital workspace for scientific research that integrates data, experiments, protocols, and literature into a single, interactive project graph, providing access to sophisticated AI and data modelling tools for researchers without coding expertise.
Appally
Inclusive Society | Lillie Jamieson, Ed Brown
Millions of neurodivergent and disabled people face systemic barriers at work, from inaccessible processes to inadequate support. Meanwhile, employers struggle to meet legal obligations, risking reputational damage, legal action, and internal burnout. Appally is an AI-powered SaaS platform automating workplace adjustments for disabled and neurodivergent employees, equipping HR teams with legally compliant support plans and tools to build more inclusive workplaces.
Branch
Inclusive Society | Harriet Wright, John Ridpath
Many women returning to work after maternity leave are faced with systemic barriers that make it challenging for them, often leading to professionals leaving the workforce entirely. This further perpetuates the gender disparity in leadership and contributes to ongoing challenges around workplace diversity and inclusion. Branch is building a platform that supports women through their employers to navigate careers and motherhood as they return to work.
Cluso
Inclusive Society | Nana Parry, Daniel Parry, Joshua McGovern
A lack of genuine citizen engagement results in misinformed policy decisions, less effective democratic processes, and inefficient government spending. Public participation in local online consultations is extremely low, leaving most people without a meaningful voice in the decision-making process. Cluso is an AI-powered voice survey platform that democratises civic participation, serving the public interest.
Dabalox
Sustainable Planet | Dr. Caroline Bowen, Chris Arnold
The slow adoption of heat pumps across the UK is creating a significant barrier to achieving net zero targets, as heating and cooling systems account for a substantial proportion of global energy consumption and carbon emissions. Dabalox is a conversational AI “heat coach” transforming the UK heat pump market by tackling the communication gap between homeowners and installers.
Excelas.AI
Inclusive Society | John Quy
Teachers in the UK face significant workload pressures. Chronic administrative burden contributes to high stress and teacher attrition, directly impacting the quality of education and student outcomes. Excelas.AI delivers instant, accurate exam marking, significantly reducing teacher admin and supporting better retention and student outcomes.
HeyLina AI
Healthy Lives | Briana Alexander, Dalila Delimedac
Dating apps often fuel anxiety, pessimism, and emotional distress by prioritising superficial matching over deep emotional connection. Without emotional wellness support, users are stuck in a cycle of short-term highs and long-term harm. HeyLina is an emotional wellness tool that helps people develop emotional intelligence and support building lasting connections.
Litegator
Inclusive Society | Peter Taylorson
Globally, 1.5 billion people lack access to justice for civil, administrative, or criminal justice problems. In the UK, individuals and businesses often navigate civil disputes alone, struggling with the overwhelming complexity of the legal system or unable to afford legal representation. Litegator is an AI-powered litigation management system that makes justice more accessible, guiding users through the court process with ease.
No-boxx
Sustainable Planet | Zak Rashid
No-boxx is tackling the overuse of single-use packaging in parcel shipping, which has led to substantial plastic waste with significant environmental and health implications. No-boxx is a reusable packaging network for e-commerce, aiming to reduce long-term ecological waste and carbon emissions.
Project Voxel
Sustainable Planet | Hamish Haddow, Dr. Maadhav Kothari
Although agriculture occupies nearly 44% of the world’s habitable land, farmers struggle to convert abundant data and technological tools into actionable insights that could enhance yields. Project Voxel is developing a crop-agnostic imaging and analytics platform that detects early signs of crop stress using geospatial imagery, enabling farmers to improve their crop resilience.
Radnomics
Healthy Lives | Dr. Abdullahi Mohamud, Dr. Louis Saada, Dr. James Parker
Radiologists are central to diagnosis, yet training takes over a decade, and consultants must review most reports from registrars, creating a structural bottleneck in the process. As imaging demand grows, delays in diagnosis and treatment are increasing, leading to adverse health outcomes. RadCoPilot is an AI-powered workflow assistant designed for radiologists and reporting radiographers, helping clinicians deliver faster and higher-quality radiology reports while easing pressure on stretched imaging services.
Sarvas Health
Healthy Lives | Clare Simpson, Martin Ashby
Many chronic diseases are diagnosed late in their progression, often during hospital admissions when treatment options are more limited and patient health outcomes are poorer. Sarvas Health has developed a foundational model to support the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases within primary care and the community.
Silence Speaks
Inclusive Society | Pavan Madduru
Deaf people and sign language users often lack meaningful ways to engage in public spaces due to a severe shortage of professional sign language interpreters. This, in turn, limits their access to education, employment, healthcare and public services. Silence Speaks is an AI-powered text-to-sign language platform that enables real-time social interactions for individuals who are hearing- or speech-impaired.
